This latest version fixes over 90 bugs and comes with security updates

PHP, a widely-used general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for web development and which can be embedded into HTML, is now at version 5.3.9.

The PHP development team has announced PHP 5.3.9, a version in 5.3.x branch which focuses on improving its stability, fixing over 90 bugs, a lot them being security updates. A complete list of changes can be consulted in the official announcement.

Highlights of PHP 5.3.9:

· max_input_vars directive to prevent attacks based on hash collisions was added; · Integer overflow during the parsing of invalid exif header bug was fixed; · A bug in is_a() triggers autoloader, a new optional 3rd argument to is_a and is_subclass_of, was fixed; · A bug which prevented mysqlnd to be built shared was repaired; · A lot of changes were implemented in the FPM SAPI module.
