PCLinuxOS 2013.10, a free and easy-to-use Linux-based operating system for x86 desktops or laptops based on the KDE desktop environment, is now available with two of its flavors, KDE and MiniME.

This is just a maintenance release for KDE-based PCLinuxOS so don’t expect any major features. The distribution is now based on Linux kernel 3.4.64 and a number of other packages have been updated.

“KDE 2013.10 has all the additions from MiniME and was built to provide a general purpose KDE desktop computing environment. The DVD includes popular tools for office, audio, video, graphics, and Internet applications (LibreOffice 4.1.2, GIMP, Skype, Dropbox, VirtualBox, etc.) as well as additional drivers and tools to setup your hardware (graphic card, network, printer, scanner, etc.)” reads the official announcement.

A complete list of changes and improvement can be found in the announcement.
