The final version of PC-BSD should be available very soon

PC-BSD 9.2 Beta 2, a BSD distribution with the goal to be an easy-to-install-and-use desktop operating system based on FreeBSD, has been released and it's now available for download.

According to the developers, the current Beta images contain a number of bug fixes for the PC-BSD tool-chain, along with a number of improvements to installation. The final version should be available soon.

PC-BSD 9.2 Beta 2 comes with the ability to specify a ZFS pool name during installation, to "Force 4K" block-sizes during installation, a new "Boot Config" GUI for managing Boot-Environments graphically, and a few other features.

Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
