OpenLDAP Software, an open source implementation of the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol that includes slapd, libraries using the LDAP protocol, utilities, and tools, is now at version 2.4.38.

The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol is used to access directory services, specifically the X.500-based directory service. It runs over TCP/IP or any connection that features oriented transfer services.

Highlights of OpenLDAP 2.4.38:

• The liblmdb nordahead flag has been fixed; • liblmdb has been fixed to check the cursor index before cursor_del; • liblmdb wasted space on split has been corrected; • A slapd syncrepl memory leak with delta-sync MMR has been corrected; • A matching rule for OlcDbEnvFlags has been fixed; • slapd-meta is no longer blocking other threads.
