OpenELEC, an embedded operating system built specifically to run XBMC, the open source entertainment media hub, is now at version 3.2.4.

A new iteration of OpenELEC 3.2.x arrived, the forth maintenance update being released incorporating just a few updates.

“Systems running OpenELEC 3.1.x and 3.2.x will automatically update to 3.2.4 if auto-update is enabled. Users who are still running OpenELEC 1.0-3.0 are encouraged to manually update to enjoy the many new features.”

“We would like to thank our users, project team and partners for their efforts in testing, reporting and fixing issues, adding features, creating how-to documents, and donations of hardware and funds to the project,” reads the official announcement.

Other changes include a new Linux kernel, 3.10.20, Samba 3.6.20, Systemd 208, pciutils 3.2.1, various upstream patches for libdrm, and support for Arch Linux.
