Valve has released another update for its famous MOBA game

Dota 2, Valve's own take on the famous Dota mod for Warcraft 3, has just received another major update for all platforms, including Linux.

Valve has announced that Dota 2 for Linux and Mac OS X is available for download and has issued yet another upgrade for this MOBA title (multiplayer online battle arena).

According to the changelog, the recruits are no longer sorting in the wrong direction, captain crownsare no longer showing on all players when spectating CM games, matchmaking preference are now using the themed or classic map, ranked matchmaking will always use the classic map, and the conversion of Shining Fragments to Shadow Fragments has been added.

Dota 2 Linux minimum system requirements: Ubuntu 12.04, dual-core processor from Intel or AMD at 2.8 GHz, 4GB RAM, 8GB Hard Drive Space, nVidia GeForce 8600/9600GT, ATI/AMD Radeon HD2600/3600 (Graphic Drivers: nVidia 310, AMD 12.11), OpenGL 2.1, and OpenAL-compatible sound card.
