Valve has launched yet another Beta version for its Steam for Linux client, this time with just a couple minor fixes and improvements.

After a development version garners sufficient changes, Valve promotes that version to stable. The work for the next beta starts almost immediately.

This is just the case with the new Steam for Linux client that was made available to everyone who is part of the Beta program.

Highlights of the latest Steam for Linux update:

• The notification/inbox menu has been repositioned so that it doesn't conflict with the supernav menus; • An occasional error, which affected the way custom fonts were loaded by the client, has been fixed.

This is a Beta client and this means that bugs are bound to surface. Download the Steam for Linux installer from Softpedia.
