LilyPond, a music engraving program devoted to producing the highest-quality sheet music possible by featuring the aesthetics of traditionally engraved music to computer printouts, is now at version 2.19.0.

LilyPond 2.19.0 is a stable build and arrives after numerous development releases, featuring a ton of improvements.

According to the changelog, isolated durations in music sequences now stand for unpitched notes, the pitches are now provided by the preceding note or chord, and beaming exceptions can now be constructed using the \beamExceptions scheme function.

Also, the most common articulations are now reflected in MIDI output, the PostScript functionality of stroke adjustment is no longer applied automatically, and stroke adjustment can be forced by specifying the command line option “-dstrokeadjust” to LilyPond.
