The Numix theme provides a quality that is rarely found in GTK themes. The installation of this theme is very easy because it can be done through a simple PPA. The developer also provides a source package for manual installation.
The latest version, 2.1, comes with a few interesting changes: a LightDM GTK greeter theme has been added, an Xfce Notify theme has been added, support has been added for the Nemo pathbar breadcrumbs, window buttons are now drawn directly in metacity, and other fixes and improvements have been implemented.
Open a terminal and run the following commands:
