Michael Tremer, a developer for the ipfire.org team, has announced that IPFire 2.13 Core 73, a new stable release of the popular Linux-based firewall distribution, is now available for download.

Just like the previous version of IPFire, the current one is host to a large number of changes and improvements.

Highlights IPFire 2.13 Core 73:

• The squid web proxy server has been updated to version 3.3.10; • PHP has been updated to version 5.3.27; • openssh has been updated to version 6.4p1; • Users can now use an apostrophe (’) in the SSID string; • Validating IP addresses is now working properly; • A few other smaller fixes have been implemented.
