David Cortarello has announced today, May 6, that the fourth version of the Kwort Linux operating system based on CRUX is now available for download.

Kwort Linux 4 is a full 64-bit system, it is quite awesome, stable and fast, providing the simplicity that has always characterized the Kwort distribution.

Being powered by Linux kernel 3.8.5, Kwort Linux 4 contains Chromium 25.0.1364.97, Firefox 20.0, LibreOffice 4.0.1, and a new installation system.

“Kwort 4 is finally here! For those who don't know, Kwort 4 is a full x86_64 system (finally!). In the last couple of week we've been testing Kwort 4 hardly to see if everything is "stable-enough”.”

“Because of the architecture switch, we have everything rebuilt from scratch, from the toolchain to the latest X11 application. And of course, our package mirror is already populated with some useful packages,” David Cortarello said in the official release announcement.

Kwort Linux 4 is distributed as an installable only Live CD image, supporting the 64-bit architecture. Download Kwort Linux 4 right now from Softpedia.
