14 DAY TRIAL // Following the release of Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS (Precise Pangolin), the Kubuntu team has just announced that its KDE-based Ubuntu OS, Kubuntu, has also reached version 12.04.3.
The developers of Kubuntu 12.04.3 LTS (Long Term Support) have brought the Linux kernel 3.8 branch from the Ubuntu 13.04 distribution and a large number of other features.
Other changes include a better power management configuration interface, a new Plasma panel option, Icon Tasks, an alternative icon-only taskbar, a new display engine for Dolphin, a new navigation area which appears when an image is zoomed, and KDE's document viewer.
Kubuntu 12.04.3 LTS also comes with a better Muon Suite, the new Telepathy KDE, Upstart 1.5, Python 2.7.3 and Python 3.2.3, just to name a few.
