Numerous new features have been implemented in this version

Konversation, a user-friendly Internet Relay Chat (IRC) client built on the KDE Platform, is now at version 1.5 RC1.

Besides the obvious standard IRC features, Konversation also provides SSL server support, bookmarking support, a simple GUI interface, DCC file transfer, and more.

Highlights of Konversation 1.5 RC1:

• The Auto Identify settings have been improved; • The server password-based authentication can now be configured in the Identities dialog; • SASL PLAIN authentification support has been integrated; • NickServ authentification has received various improvements; • User can now authenticate via an SSL Client Certificate; • Users can now choose a different spell-checking language in each tab; • The Channel Options dialog has been resized; • The Quick Buttons options now have a new checkbox.
