14 DAY TRIAL // Suricata, a high-performance Network IDS, IPS and Network Security Monitoring engine that is open source and owned by a community-run non-profit foundation – the Open Information Security Foundation (OISF), is now at version 1.4.6.
According to the developers, Suricata 1.4.6 is just a bugfix release, with no new features and changes.
Among the fixes implemented in the new version there are a few added for malformed SSL records, for IPv6-in-IPv6 decoding, address parsing, AC pattern matcher, and a few others.
A complete list of changes and new features is available in the official changelog. Suricata is developed by the OISF, its supporting vendors and the community. This means that the developers need the active support of the community in order to improve the software.
