Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, a 2D action adventure game developed by Shadow Planet Productions and published by Microsoft Studios, will soon get a Linux release.

Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet has been around for a couple of years and the game is published by Microsoft Studios, at least on the Steam platform. It seems that the developers from Shadow Planet Productions are working on a Linux version, and the first clues have been spotted in the Steam datatbase.

“In this Insanely Twisted, 2-D action-adventure game, explore unique environments and battle bizarre creatures as you make your way toward the center of the mysterious Shadow Planet! Solve complex puzzles and upgrade your ship with alien technology as you fight to save your home world,” say the devs on the Steam website.

The information about the Linux version is taken from the Steam database, and by no means is it completely certain. The Steam Database is a record of data that describes every Steam game and subscription provided by Valve for the Steam service.

Usually, the new entries are first visible in the Steam Database before their official launch, but there is no indication about a release date. Sometimes it can take even a few months until a game is launched for Linux.

More details about Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet can be found on the official Steam website.
