Famous digital photo-management application for KDE and Linux, digiKam, which includes an image editor for photo corrections and manipulation, has just reached version 3.5.0.

The digiKam collection of tools has received yet another major update, integrating some pretty interesting features and a large number of fixes.

Despite the version number, this is actually not a major update. Only a few fixes and changes have been implemented. For example, the Kipi-plugins can now be deselected and Digikam can read digikamrc, tags are no longer limited to 250 selected pictures, and undo/redo now takes effect in the selected image.

Also, Setting digiKam to only detect faces will no longer try to recognize them automatically, the application no longer crashes when validating the face tag with a button, and the first and last (used) file name for panorama picture are attributed automatically.

The complete changelog for digiKam can be found on the official website. Download digiKam 3.5.0 right now from Softpedia.
