GitLab, a fast, secure, and stable solution based on Ruby on Rails & Gitolite and distributed under the MIT License, is now at version 6.3.0.

GitLab doesn't shy away from admitting that it is inspired by GitHub and the project is even hosted there.

According to one of the developers, the flexibility of the architecture has been greatly improved, it's no longer necessary to manually copy a token from GitLab CI to the corresponding GitLab instance, certain privileges have been restricted for users who have administrator rights, and administrators can list and remove projects.

Also, the build page has been redesigned to focus more on the build output and users can now choose the method of fetching new code for each repeat build.

More details about this release can be found in the official announcement. Download GitLab 6.3.0 right now from Softpedia.
