GhostBSD LXDE 3.0 RC2 Is Based on FreeBSD 9.1 RC2

GhostBSD LXDE, a FreeBSD-based operating system based on LXDE desktop environment, is now at version 3.0 RC2.

GhostBSD 3.0 RC2 is now available in the LXDE flavor. The developers said that it might contain some bugs and other problems, but users have been encouraged to report them.

Highlights of GhostBSD LXDE 3.0 RC2:

• FreeBSD 9.0 RC1 has been updated to FreeBSD 9.1 RC2; • A new WiFi configuration method has been implemented; • Firefox has been put back instead of SeaMonkey; • Lxmusic has been ported to FreeBSD and Audacious has been replaced; • LxRandr has been ported to FreeBSD and added to the distro; • Xchat was added; • Xorg is now automatically configured and Nvidia native driver is supported; • Slim has been replaced by Gdm.

Download GhostBSD 3.0 LXDE RC2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a beta version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
