GParted Live, a small bootable GNU/Linux distribution for x86-based computers that can be used for creating, reorganizing, and deleting disk partitions with the help of tools that allow managing filesystems, is now at version 0.20.0-3 and is ready for download.

The Gparted developers have made a number of improvements to this simple but powerful Linux distribution. Because this is used as a tool for partitioning computers, it's important that it provides support for all the latest hardware. It's important to have the latest packages from Debian and to get all the latest Linux kernels if possible.

"The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2014/Oct/27). A workaround was added to make GParted live iso boot from PXE. Due to some reason this only works for AMD64 version," reads the official announcement.

GParted Live can be installed on CD, USB, PXE server, and hard disk, then run on an x86 machine. A complete list of new features and bug fixes can be found in the changelog, and that includes all the modifications made until now.

You can download GParted Live 0.20.0-3 right now from Softpedia. It's a very small OS and users should have no problem running it on virtually any PC.
