GParted Live 0.19.1 Beta 1-2, a small bootable GNU/Linux distribution for x86-based computers that can be used for creating, reorganizing, and deleting disk partitions with the help of tools that allow managing filesystems, is ready for testing.

GParted Live can be installed on CD, USB, PXE server, and hard disk, then run on an x86 machine. People will find it very easy to use and shouldn’t have any problems running the operating system.

“The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2014/Jul/14),” reads the official announcement.

According to the changelog, the Linux kernel has been updated to version 3.14.12-1, the Gparted component has been updated 0.19.1 Beta 1, and Syslinux is now at version 6.03-pre18.

The developers haven't said when the final version might be ready, but from what has been implemented so far and judging from the rate of releases, we might see a stable release pretty soon.

A complete list of new features and bug fixes can be found in the announcement. You can download GParted 0.19.1 Beta 1-2 right now from Softpedia.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
