GParted Live, a small bootable GNU/Linux distribution for x86-based computers that can be used for creating, reorganizing, and deleting disk partitions with the help of tools that allow managing filesystems, has just been updated to a stable version, 0.19.1-1.

The Gparted developers have made a new update to this very important Linux distribution, but it doesn't have any new features, just a couple of upgrades. The GParted component has been updated to version 0.19.1 and Linux kernel is now at version 3.14.12-1. This is not the latest kernel that you can find, but it's considered stable and it's been integrated in numerous other distros as well.

GParted Live can be installed on CD, USB, PXE server, and hard disk, then run on an x86 machine. People will find it very easy to use and shouldn’t have any problems running the operating system.

A complete list of new features and bug fixes can be found in the changelog. You can download GParted Live 0.19.1-1 right now from Softpedia. This is a very small distribution and weighs in at a little over 180MB, which makes it ideal for recovery and partitioning jobs.

Please keep in mind that this is a very powerful tool and it can do as much damage as it does good if it falls into the wrong hands or if it's not used properly.
