Evolution 3.8.5, a complete solution that provides integrated mail, address book, and calendaring functionality to users of the GNOME desktop environment, is now available for download.

The fifth maintenance release of the Gnome 3.8.x branch is upon us, and Evolution is one of the first to arrive with a new version, as usual.

Most of the new major features have been implemented in the previous versions from the 3.8.x branch and the current one only consists of fixes.

According to the developers, renaming the Google book group now works properly, the header's value is now decoded before comparing it with RegEx, the HTTP backend no longer authenticates unnecessarily, Old POP3 mails can be removed before fetching them, and much more.

A complete list of bugfixes can be found in the official changelog. Download Evolution 3.8.5 right now from Softpedia.
