As reported earlier today in our news article about the release of the GTK+ 3.16.3 GUI toolkit, the GNOME developer are hard at work these days to bring the second and last official point release of the GNOME 3.16 desktop environment.

As such, many GNOME Apps and core components have been updated, including GNOME Documents, a standalone tool that allows users to view and organize all of their documents and e-books in style. According to the release notes, GNOME Documents 3.16.2 is a small release that introduces a night mode.

The night mode is available in the content. In addition, GNOME Documents 3.16.2 now makes use of the trash can when deleting files, improves support for loading of documents from Google Drive or OneDrive accounts, and addresses an issue with WebKit2.

Furthermore, a placeholder has been added for PostScript files when there's no Table of Contents (TOC) available for generating a preview, and search criteria are now being restored when returning from the collection view or preview to the search results.

Lastly, several language translations have been updated in this second maintenance release of the GNOME Documents app for the GNOME 3.16 desktop environment. Download GNOME Documents 3.16.2 right now from Softpedia.
