Avidemux, a free video editor designed for simple cutting, filtering, and encoding tasks that supports many file types including AVI, DVD, MP4, and ASF, is now at version 2.6.7.

The AviDemux releases are few and far between, which is a real shame because this is a great piece of software with multiple options.

According to the developers, seeking in h264 files has been improved, a split on NALU boundaries (it was off by one byte) has been fixed, support has been added for AAC/LC/SBR, and the management of the PCM/8Bits audio track has been corrected.

Also, the import of bmp and jpg images has been fixed, support has been added for the newer cmake (ajschult), the RPM generation has been improved, and various scripts have been fixed.

A complete list of changes can be found in the official announcement. Keep in mind that the software is available on multiple platforms. Download Avidemux 2.6.7 right now from Softpedia.
