Enlightenment, a lean, fast, modular, and very extensible window manager for X11 that provides all the necessary packages to run a desktop, has just reached version 0.18.

After a few development releases, a new version of the light desktop environment Enlightenment has been released and is now available for download.

Highlights of Enlightenment 0.18:

• The user experience has been improved; • New modules have been added for improving the desktop integration, including music-control, bluez4, appmenu, and conf_comp; • The internal theme has been merged into Elementary; • A theme migration guide has been added for themers looking to update their E17 themes to work with E18; • udisks2 support has been added; • RandR and binding config domains have been split into separate files to make copying and updating easier.

A comprehensive list of updates and improvements can be found in the changes files, inside the archive, or on the official website. Download Enlightenment E18 right now from Softpedia.
