Elive, a complete operating system for your computer, built on top of Debian GNU/Linux and customized to meet the needs of any user while still offering the eye-candy with minimal hardware requirements, is now at version 2.1.58 Beta.

The distribution is still in development, and the current version only comes with a few improvements in comparison with the previous release.

Highlights of Elive 2.1.58 Beta:

• The Debian packages have been updated to their 7.3 release; • When a user gains access to an NTFS disk, they are now warned that it can be unstable; • The massive image-resizer tool, which includes adding more resolutions and a smart automatic resize calculator, has been improved; • The massive audio converter tool has been improved, and it will now give you better accuracy.

The developers of Elive have also asked for the community's help in testing the operating system, so users are encouraged to provide feedback based on their experience.

Download Elive 2.1.58 Beta right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
