PhpMyAdmin is a tool built in PHP that handles the administration of MySQL databases. The developers have released a new version and it is now available for download.

Unlike the phpMyAdmin 4.3.0 release, which was quite impressive, the current iteration of the application is much more on the lines of a bugfix version.

The developers have explained that a "configuration storage" option has been fixed, users can now import files with drag and drob, a problem with central columns has been corrected, and a page lock has been fixed.

"phpMyAdmin supports a wide range of operations on MySQL, MariaDB and Drizzle. Frequently used operations (managing databases, tables, columns, relations, indexes, users, permissions, etc) can be performed via the user interface, while you still have the ability to directly execute any SQL statement," reads the official website.

A complete list of changes is available in the official changelog, which can also be found in the downloaded source archive. You can download the phpMyAdmin 4.3.4 source package right now from Softpedia, but you will have to compile the package yourself.

Please keep in mind that you don't need to reinstall everything all over again. If you already have PHP installed, you just have to upgrade your current version to the new one. This is a stable one, so there shouldn't be any problems.
