SoundKonverter, a frontend to various audio converters that can be used for different tasks, including CD ripping, is now at version 2.1.0 RC2.

SoundKonverter supports a large number of formats, such as flac, mp3, m4a, wma, ac3, and many others. If the user tries to convert a file that is not supported, the application will inform them which backend needs installation.

Highlights of SoundKonverter 2.1.0 RC2:

• GUI support has been added for album artist tags, which includes the CD ripper; • The CD ripper layout has been fixed; • The main window can now be hidden when the application is started with the --replaygain argument; • An option to eject the CD after ripping has been completed was added; • Symlinked files have been added to the file list.
