Clonezilla Live 2.2.1-17, a Linux distribution based on DRBL, Partclone, and udpcast that allows users to do bare metal backup and recovery, is now available for download.

Clonezilla Live 2.2.1-17 is now the latest development version for this distribution and comes with a fair number of changes and fixes.

“The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2013/Dec/24),” reads the announcement.

The Linux kernel has been updated to 3.12.6-1, drbl has been updated to 2.7.14-drbl1, and Clonezilla is now at version 3.9.2-drbl1.

Also, the install_grub_hd function in ocs-functions has been extracted as a program, “ocs-install-grub.”
