Freeciv, a free turn-based multiplayer strategy game in which each player becomes the leader of a civilization, is now at version 2.4.2.

Freeciv 2.4.2 is inspired by Civilization I and II from MicroProse, and gamers should find this title quite familiar, since one aim is to have optional modes (called rulesets) with compatible rules.

Highlights of Freeciv 2.4.2:

• The pathfinding for aerial units has been improved; • A server crash that could have occurred if a transport died due to its passenger's action has been fixed; • If one of your diplomatic units was on the same tile as an allied player's unit/city and a second diplomat of yours acted against your ally, your two diplomats would do battle with each other; • The unlikely possibility of loot from a very large conquered city, causing the victim's treasury to go negative, has been fixed; • A new map editor vision tool has been implemented.
