Cantata, a client for the music player daemon (MPD) that originally started as a fork of QtMPC, is now at version 1.2.0.

According to the developers, Cantata 1.2.0 can be compiled with KDE support or as a pure Qt4 application.

Highlights of Cantata 1.2.0:

• Support for the opus audio format has been added; • Support has been added for user-installable stream providers; • A config page has been implemented to control which stream categories are enabled, to import new categories, and to remove imported categories; • HTTP stream URL is now shown into the connections page, as URLs could be different per connection; • Radio GFM streams have been added; • leoslyrics.com has been added to the list of lyrics providers.
