Cantata, a client for the music player daemon (MPD) that originally started as a fork of QtMPC, is now at version 1.1.3.
According to the developers, Cantata 1.1.3 can be compiled with KDE support, or as a pure Qt4 application.
Highlights of Cantata 1.1.3:
• The online services support no longer requires taglib; • Changing the Music folder for “Personal” MPD collection is now working properly; • The display of the album year in the play queue for KDE builds has been fixed; • The application only enables the “Edit Song Tags” on playqueue if the MPD music folder is readable; • The tag-guessing from tracks without tags has been improved; • Artist and album genres have been fixed.
