Ubuntu developers have overcome a series of problems

After a number of problems that prevented the Ubuntu developers from promoting a stable Ubuntu Touch image, a new release is now available from the repositories.

Ubuntu developers have been working hard to promote a new image for Ubuntu Touch. It turns out that some of the tests they were running were producing false positives, meaning that the tests had some bugs and not the Ubuntu images.

“After seeing both smoketesting and dogfooding results for image #174, we decided that its quality is good enough for promotion. Enjoy! #174 includes: updated indicators, some upstart-app-launch tweaks and fixes, fixes for dialer-app AP test flakyness and others. I hope we can keep up the pace of one promotion per-day!” said Ubuntu developer Łukasz Zemczak.

If everything goes well from now on, we might see the introduction of new packages and features, and even a new image promoted every day.
