14 DAY TRIAL // Calligra 2.8 Beta, an integrated suite of applications for office, creative, and management needs, was released on December 8.
The current version of the software also runs on mobile platforms, namely Calligra Mobile and Calligra Active. Users of any previous iterations have been asked to update as soon as possible, either by compiling the new build or by using the provided methods.
Highlights of Calligra 2.8 Beta:
• Words, the word processing application, now has support for comments in the text; • Author, the writer’s application, has the same enhancements as Words; • Sheets, the spreadsheet application, has improved support for pivot tables; • Kexi, the visual database creator, now comes with a new feature to open hyperlinks in forms.
