APT (Advanced Package Tool), a set of core tools inside Debian that make it possible to install, remove, and keep applications up to date, is now at version 0.9.15.3.

Advanced Package Tool was launched back in 1998, and 15 years later it's almost at version 1.0. The developers are still releasing small increments, and it will take it a while to get to 1.0.

Highlights of APT 0.9.15.3:

• https to http redirects have been disabled in libcurl; • Avoid apt-stderr.log in Debian/tests/run-tests; • Missing canNotFindFnmatch/showFnmatchSelection have been added; • fnmatch() matching has been disabled from the command line; • The testcase for the autoremove feature has been merged from the Ubuntu branch.

A complete list of changes and updates can be found in the official announcement. Download APT (Advanced Package Tool) 0.9.15.3 right now from Softpedia.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
