APT (Advanced Package Tool), a set of core tools inside Debian that makes it possible to install, remove, and keep applications up to date, is now at version 0.9.14.

Advanced Package Tool was launched back in 1998, and 15 years later it's almost at version 1.0. The developers are still releasing small increments, and it will take a while to get to 1.0.

Highlights of APT 0.9.14:

• NOISE has been enabled for build logs to enable analysis; • A vendor system has been implemented to change sources.list; • A vendor specific file has been added in order to have configurable entities; • A substvar has been added to set the archive-keyring in Debian/control.

A complete list of changes and updates can be found in the official announcement. Download APT (Advanced Package Tool) 0.9.14 right now from Softpedia.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
