Parsix GNU/Linux is a live CD based on Knoppix and Debian Sid . It uses GNOME as it's default desktop environment. Parsix GNU/Linux supports Persian keyboard and user can switch to Persian with Alt+Shift keys.
Parsix GNU/Linux can be installed on your harddisk and you can use it as your PC's operating system. We also included xFarDic English-Persian dictionary and Persian free fonts from FPF project.
What's New in This Release:
· Parsix Viola brings several new features, contains a new kernel, updated software packages, updated documentation, improved installer system and several fixes for the reported defects.
· This version is synchronized with Parsix and Debian testing repositories as of Jun 25, 2008. Several bugs have been solved (#86, #88, #90, #101, #102, #103, #105, #106, #108, #110, #118, #119, #122, #120, #124, #126, #128, #129), replaced GQView with gThumb image viewer, replaced Camorama with Cheese and readded iptraf and nmap.
· Parsix Viola officially supports Compiz-Fusion, VirtualBox-OSE and GNU Flash Player.
· Highlights: GNOME 2.22.2, X.Org 7.3, Linux kernel 2.6.24.4 with CK, CVE-2008-1669 fix, TuxOnIce 3.0-RC7, iwlwifi 1.2.23 with led support and powertop patches, updated several kernel drivers, OpenOffice.org 2.4.0 and GNU Iceweasel 3.0 RC2.
