  • All Robolinux Raptor 8.4 versions are based on 100% rock solid current Debian 8 stable source code running the newest Debian 3.16 Linux kernel plus over 180 important upstream security and Application updates. We also included the newest Firefox 45 and Thunderbird 38.7, Tor Browser, VirtualBox and replaced all of our 32 bit Operating Systems end of life Google Chrome versions with Chromium.

New in Robolinux Xfce 7.9.2 (Jun 19, 2015)

  • Robolinux is pleased to announce V7.9.2 LTS (Until 2018) X12+ Privacy & Security which has many enhancements, plus maintenance and upstream security updates, the newest VirtualBox, Firefox and Thunderbird versions as well as three exceptional new apps. After releasing "Apex X12 Privacy & Security" in version 7.9.1 May 1st, 2015, We asked our Users what enhancements and new apps would you like added to Robolinux? They said: "We would like the Robolinux 7 series to have "LTS" Long Term Support" and we want 1. A Download Manager 2. A better text editor and 3. A better screen capture program. The result is Version 7.9.2 will now be supported through 2018 and we added the following applications: Uget Downloader Manager, Shutter Screen capture & Medit. All existing users & ROSSF Premium Members can upgrade right now by simply clicking on our "Robolinux Auto Upgrade" System Menu Option. Please be aware that the Robolinux series 7 versions do not support the Intel Haswell chipset but future Robolinux series 8 versions will support it.

New in Robolinux Xfce 7.9.1 (May 2, 2015)

  • For the last three months Robolinux has been building an arsenal of privacy and security applications into all eight of its operating systems. These new versions are a direct result of our Users asking for more privacy and security apps. Robolinux Version 7.9.1 also added rcconf which allows you to remove any unecessary memory resident services from running when you boot up Robolinux. The result is Linux will run even faster. In addition Version 7.9.1 also has the newest VirtualBox 4.3.26 & Firefox 37.0.1 as well as a new upstream kernel and all security updates.

New in Robolinux Xfce 7.8.1 (Jan 22, 2015)

  • A massive amount of time and effort was spent to significantly speed up this new Robolinux Gnome version by creating a more streamlined menu system, removing the Nautilus file Manager load time lag to zero seconds, and optimizing many other Gnome core applications so that Linux Beginners and Advanced Users would be very pleased with it. The 32 & 64 bit versions are based on the newest rock solid Debian stable 7.8 kernel and source code. Please note that the Robolinux Gnome FAQ section is being edited as fast as we can to reflect the completely new User Interface. We also upgraded Robolinux Xfce & LXDE with the newest Debian upstream 7.8 kernels and security updates, removed Iceweasel, added Firefox 35.0, fixed the gtk2-engines-pixbuf error, changed the default wallpaper, plus added several more exciting new wallpapers and integrated mime pdf, mp4, mp3, wav, jpg, avi, mov file support.

New in Robolinux Xfce 7.7.2 (Nov 26, 2014)

  • We have released V7.7.2 an important maintenance update to the previous Robolinux XFCE & Gnome Versions 7.7.1 that had a C library incompatibility due to Popcorn time which caused some application and driver issues. This new release solves that problem as we have made Popcorn Time an optional installation. Please read our FAQ called "Popcorn Time issues & workarounds" for complete details. In addition we have updated VirtualBox & Firefox to their newest versions and have improved the Robolinux Auto Updgrade option.
