  • Each character now has their own special skills.
  • When fighting enemies that require a magical weapon, melee combat now conducted using M instead of FP.

New in Erebus 0.12 (Dec 17, 2013)

  • FIXED Problem failing to load saved games in some circumstances - note that unfortunately this won't fix existing save games, but the problem shouldn't occur with new save games that are now created.
  • FIXED Potential bug to do with amount of gold for rewards from NPCs not being initialized correctly.
  • FIXED Android version can now play multiple sounds at once.
  • ADDED Android version now plays footsteps sound.

New in Erebus 0.9 (Jun 8, 2013)

  • A bug where save game files that couldn't be loaded were sometimes created (e.g., 2nd quest).
  • The Android back button now works correctly in all parts of the UI.
  • This release is for Source and Android only (Windows and Symbian still at version 0.7).

New in Erebus 0.8 (May 29, 2013)

  • Erebus is now available on Google Play for Android smartphones and tablets.
  • Minor improvements were made for other platforms.

New in Erebus 0.7 (Apr 25, 2013)

  • This version fixes a major bug which caused choosing a custom name to mean that the player started with no items.
  • Various improvements have been made to pathfinding and the user interface.
  • The graphical perspective of doors has been improved.
  • Undead enemies have been added for random dungeons.
  • Various other bugs have been fixed.

New in Erebus 0.6 (Apr 2, 2013)

  • New gameplay modes, random dungeons, and permadeath were introduced.
  • Players can now select which stats to improve when levelling up.
  • New weapons were added: Holy Water, Acid, and different arrow types.
  • More spells for enemies were added.
  • AI improvements were made.
  • Graphical and UI improvements were made, including a circle for targetted enemy, graphical effects for spells and arrows, and UI changes for non-mobile devices.
  • A new turbo mode makes the game run at 2x speed.
  • Various bugs were fixed.
  • The Linux version now supports "make install", and an installer is now available for Windows.
