Today, September 15, 2016, Feral Interactive was proud to announce that they are working on porting the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided game to Valve's SteamOS, and Steam on Linux and macOS.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided launched last month on Steam only for Microsoft Windows operating systems, so bringing it to the Linux, SteamOS, and macOS platforms is a first for Feral Interactive, and it's also huge news for the Linux gaming community, which appears to be more and more popular among game studios.

Developed by Eidos Montreal and Nixxes Software BV, and published by Square Enix, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is also playable on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gaming consoles. It is the third installment of the cyberpunk-themed action role-playing stealth video game set in 2029.

"Embrace what you've become in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, a futuristic action RPG coming to Mac and Linux this year," reads the announcement page. "The year is 2029, and mechanically augmented humans have now been deemed outcasts, living a life of complete and total segregation from the rest of society."

At the moment of writing this article, Feral Interactive didn't reveal the official release date of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for Steam on Linux, Steam on Mac, and SteamOS platforms, but we have all the reasons to believe that it might take a few good months, so you should expect it closer to the winter holidays.
