The Opera developers have released a new version of their Internet browser and a new build has been made available in the 25.x branch.

Opera is based on Chromium and that means that updates for the browser arrive at a pretty brisk pace. The development branch is the main beneficiary and it's packed with changes and new features.

"For many of you, it is not actually a big surprise that we are working on a bookmark manager. But, in this release, the bookmark flag is enabled by default. Furthermore, this update comes with many fixes for things like MP3, H.264, HiDPI and more," reads the official announcement.

According to the changelog, the old context menu no longer disappears when the new context menu has been activated, MP3 and H.264 support has been implemented, it's now possible to paste with the Diodon Clipboard Manager in the address bar, new tab animations are no longer broken, the "Speech" to text-selection has been added to the context-menu and to the Edit menu, and the extension toolbar is now showing properly.

You can download Opera 25.0.1592.0 for Linux right now from Softpedia.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
