Airline Tycoon Deluxe, an economic sim game that lets players take control of an airline, has been finally landed on Linux 16 years after the original launch.

Airline Tycoon Deluxe is probably one of the most famous games in the series. It was originally made available back in 1998 and it reached cult status soon after. It's still played even today and the fact that Linux users will also get to enjoy it means a lot.

"Airline Tycoon Deluxe is a funny economy simulation proceeding in realtime and assigning you the complete responsibility for an airline. However, don’t be fooled by the funny comic style or the included jokes: A variety of tasks are requested and your competitors never miss a chance to set a trap for you in order to put a spoke in your wheel," reads the Steam synopsis.

The title was developed by Spellbound AG and published by Black Forest Games. The system requirements for this title are very small and everyone should be able to play it. Users will need a 133 MHz Processor, 32 MB of RAM, and 600 MB of available space. It doesn't get any better than this.

More details about Airline Tycoon Deluxe can be found on Steam.
