Toast Time, a minimalist 2D arcade game developed and published on Steam by Force Of Habit, has been released on the Linux platform as well.

Most indie developers don't go through all the trouble of promoting their Linux version, but the guys from Force Of Habit have explained that they have tested the game on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, Fedora, and SteamOS. It should run just fine, regardless of the Linux platform.

"Toast Time is a throwback to the golden age of video games where old-school homebrew titles fused arcade action with a distinctly British sense of humour. An appetising arena shoot-em-up garnished with tower defense elements and served warm with awesome-sauce (probably syrup). Inter-dimensional time-blob beasties have sailed the cosmos in pursuit of spare time, and now they've found it, tasted it, on an idyllic Monday morning," reads the Steam synopsis.

The requirements for the game are pretty low and many users should have an easy time meeting them. Gamers will need a 1.2 GHz CPU, 512 MB of RAM, an OpenGL 3.2 Compatible & GLSL 1.5+ video card, and 128 MB of available HDD space.

It's also worth noting that it has a very low price to begin with, so you don't really need a discount for it. Enjoy!
