    how can i install this package offline? I tried something posted in softpedia but it failed

    Hello sanda,

    in order to play movies in Ubuntu you need to install the ubuntu-restricted-extras package. Search it in System -> Administration -> Synaptic Package Manager and install it.

    Actually I can't seem to play movies on my Ubuntu linux, I have downloaded all the codecs I could but only through my flash drive, since I dont have internet
