Runs and runs and runs..... with hundrets of torrents

it is opened by archive manager not by an installer. what should I do?

Very good torrent client. Azureus is to learn from this project. Ver low system requiremnts, fast and reliable work. fact taht it isCLI is very good for me cuz more people can use this PC without system hog of running more gdm-s. Long live rtorrent!

very nice tool, once you understand how to use it. i\'ve run rtorrent for more than 4days continuously and had no problem. top speed was only limited by bandwidth (3mb/s in metropolitan).

This is easily the best torrent client I have ever used for any OS... it destroys Azureus and Ktorrent in every department especially its interface, which, even though it takes some getting used to, will let you manage your torrents MUCH faster than any other torrent client. I can even manage them remotely with ssh and screen. Thank the lord someone out their still understands that shiny is not the same as good...

After using a number of GUI torrent clients I found this little gem. The GUI clients are hogs, buggy and perform just ok. rtorrent having an ncurses interface is very low overhead while providing a fast and efficient interface. Yes you need to dig in a bit and find out the hotkeys for the menus, but it's really not that difficult. It has a lot of features and like I said a very low overhead. Launch the torrent and let it do it's job without sucking up your systems resources, I love it ;)
