Joshua, burn the iso on a DVD - I use Brasero - then boot your machine up on it. But this type of distribution wouldn't install on my machine - something with couldn't "write or access repository" !

This is _the_ desktop operating system you have always wanted. KDE 4.4 is fantastic, openSUSE has a very easy to use system and user interface management, good documentation, and more applications in the repositories than you can imagine.

I did a comparison of OpenSUSE 11.2/KDE 4.4 v. Win 7 and while Windows is catching up, the differences in ease of use and ability to get the right applications you need properly installed still makes OpenSUSE a fantastic user experience.

Although I like the interface, installing the system was difficult and took some sorting out. Sorting out the dual boot was a nightmare.

I was 3 for 3 on the black screen of death.

    That's enough fun for me.

    Going to Mandriva.
