The usage features of easy peasy is very good, but I guess it did not work for me... infact it is now driving me crazy... After I installed easy peasy 1.6 my ethernet connection link on my adsl modem got disconnected and it would never connect... it connects fine in my linux mint and windows 7 but does not on my eeepc netbook(windows 7 on my eeepc netbook connects fine)... and I cannot hear any voice when I plug in my netbook earphones... these are the two major problems i have found till now with my asus eeepc 1015px, if these do not get resolved with my all tries in 2 days I will be removing easy peasy and just keep the windows 7....

I have been running EasyPeasy on my Samsung NC-10 netbook for over 6 months now and it's great! It's GUI is simple to use, it's quick to boot up, I don't have to worry about getting infected and I have access to as much free excellent open source software as I want. I love it!

Put easypeasy 1.6 on a dell mini 9. really like it. Like that easypeasy comes with skype! only issue with the dell mini 9 is that you have to connect to LAN and download wireless driver (easypeasy does this automatically when plugged in LAN). I had ubuntu 10.10 on netbook, but replaced with easypeasy. Also put easypeasy 1.6 on an original eee 4g, 701. I was ready to get rid of eee but now love it.

I highly recommend easypeasy and would recommend over regular ubuntu.

I'm on an extensive testing period for eeepc Os's. EasyPeasy 1.6 is my third try, after JoliCloud 1.2 and Ubuntu Netbook. Although very similar to UNE, (and using the same ubuntu repos, which guarantees the same access to ubuntu and debian apps), EP seems much faster on the same machine. An overall very good experience, which makes it my definite choice for my holiday os.

No complaints at all, which I guess makes for an inspiring, if not entirely useful review.

I found the install via the USB stick to be painless and everything has worked out of the box on my eee901. The computer itself has a new lease of life as a result of the switch from a very sluggish install of XP.

I installed the EasyPeasy 1.6 in a netbook MOBO M900, a brazilian mounted model, like the spanish Airis Kira with a 4GB SSD and 8.9 in screen, with 1024 x 600 pixels. The performance of the EasyPeasy is very good, the only problem is the top panel, because is locked in the top and the icons of programs is very big. Everything is in operations.

Installed 1.6 on my Asus eee 900 celeron with 1 GB ram and a 4 GB ssd and everything is working fine. Installed size is about 3 GB without trimming any fat. You just can't beat the NBR interface on these little screens. Nice job !

5 days have past since I have installed Easy Peasy 1.6 on my Eee Pc 4G 701, and it looks like everything is working as it should "out of the box". Skype connectivity with the on-board camera and sound recognition, smooth touchpad movement, and working LAN/WLAN connectivity, A great improvement from Easy Peasy 1.5 which performance I did not consider as satisfactory. Overall, I give it a "Very Good" with a tendency leaning towards "excellent". There is minor graphical appearance issue during start-up and shut-down, (weird messages) which doesn't interfere with the general performance of Easy Peasy 1.6, however, it simply doesn't make it look absolutely perfect. Would be great if those messages could be hidden, but perhaps I'm just way too demanding.

I'm a newbie to most computer systems, and received a eeepc701 4gb surf with the known interrace. I finally updated to ep 1.5 and have not looked back since. I found as a noob that installation was not so straightforeward as described, I ended asking my husband to help me out in the end. (unetbootin not good on linux, what a surprise..having to use a windows computer to get a linux interface ..plus other things) the interface is stable as far as I can see, there are a few things such as alarm sounds that work when they want to, but for what I do , I am adaptable and don't lose any sleep on this. I don't hack much either, as it is time consuming to find out how to do them(again, alll those litle details that are never described, but that are oh so important), I work long hours and come home to a dirty house, so...But on the whole, I really like it, and recommend it

This works for me. I have my EEEPC900HA which just recovered from a friggin BSOD. So I installed a new OS. Everything works great so far. Just have some problems intstallng plugins like shockwave. but its good, worth a try. :) great for netbooks

Many things just don't work correctly or are laid out in a strange way. There seems to be no effort to address the fact that this is stored on a flash device and not a hard drive. It wanted me to install swap on my SSD...duh? that's just stupid! Audio is terrible, even after hacks to get it to work, it still sounds like crap. It's unusable for audio. It also seems to take a whalloping amount of ram. I would have thought 1gb of ram would be enough, I was wrong. This is FAIL LINUX

Great netbook distro

I upgraded from ubuntu eee 8.04, and I'm sorry that I did. Wireless frequently doesn't connect, and it frequently doesn't shutdown via NBR interface. I have to do a manual shutdown from an xterm. And I can't display text files in an editor window when clicking them from the file menu. On the plus side, the NBR look is better on such a small PC, but this release needs fixing.

I just got it installed this morning and while I have not used it heavily yet, I have run everything I normally do on it for a good part of the day. Everything works so far. I did get a bad battery alert - so that is not working correctly, which for me is only a minor annoyance.

Nevertheless, I have run audio, video and Firefox with excellent results. The install from an ISO CD went without a hitch. Everything works so far! This is a far cry from my experience with the EEEPclinuxOs which has a difficult to understand installation procedure. The Ubuntu install on the other hand is a snap.

The installed software, Open Office, Firefox, Totem, Pidgin, work without problems. I installed Amarok and bingo my music plays beautifully. Open Office runs great - so far so good. Wifi was easy to set up. I simply clicked on the Network icon in the panel where upon I saw four active wireless networks, I clicked on mine put in the WEP key info and I was up and running. No fuss no muss! Ethernet hardwire connection is humming away.

Again, this is only a one day overview of a fresh installation. But for those of you who like Hardy Heron, it is worth a try. I am anxious to see of everyone else has a similar experience to mine.

The team that put this package together did a marvelous job on all of the basics. Only time will tell if my one day experience extends into a stable, reliable version for the EeePC.
