I wholeheartedly agree with SOLOMON. I probably didn't even manage to get as far he did :)) I unetbooted the iso onto a stick and on booting up, it went through the motions and got as far as:
looking for slax data in /slax...........................................................................

And there it died a miserable death - very much to my relief..........................

1 out of 5 is still a compliment. Because if you can't use it on a stick and according to SOLOMON you can't install it either, what CAN you use it for ? That is and will remain the big question.

7 is a fresh release from Thomas using the latest software.
Its still 'new' at this stage but was running fast and clean...and that was on a pentium 3 and kde4.
Been using slax for some years...its a great fixit tool on a cd or usb...or solid day to day system installed.. This new version is looking very promising.... try it

well, another version of Linux that is useless, unless you just want to try out what Linux is, away from Windows or MAC. It has no features whatsoever, and worst, it doesn't offer option to install on HardDrive! So why continue with the project?? I have never had to rate a Linux distro so low - ever! Totally useless!!!

The version 6.2.0 is an special version of Slax for computers with more than 4GB of RAM and is a separated version, not an upgrade. If you don't have a powerful computer download instead last version 6.1.2 from www.slax.org

Slax would be the best live-cdtro for me, if only there was some info about HOW it is supposed to support other languages. I need to read/edit Greek text and to see/copy Greek filenames.
You (here) advertise multi-language support, but it does not work like magic. You have to either tell how it works or stop your misleading advertising policy.
