I burnt the puppy onto a disk and loaded it into memory. Very fast loading and very fast handling. So far so good. Like with most or all slacks, the resolution never seems quite to the optimum. Naturally I tried different resolutions, they were OK but nothing spectacular. Then there was the case of no sound. I investigated that one and the answer was: "no sound card detected". No dogs barking-peaceful bliss. Then - as a layperson I am relying on repositories to compliment the setup. As a profi, one can, I am quite sure, install other programs from somewhere else - I can't.

As a permanent setup on a computer for everyday use I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. It is just too basic. For a quick intermediate solutution - yes.
