in speed and ease of use it has no match. best for my netbook.

I installed peppermint on an old HP/Compaq NC6000 laptop. Easy install wicked fast. It now takes me 60 seconds from the time I push the power on button until I am reading email in Yahoo!!

I had some issues that were mainly my fault (this is my first time using a Linus OS) - the support from their user forum was great.

I would highly recommend peppermint to anyone who wants to resurrect an older laptop/PC and use it for web surfing.

I`ve been using Peppermint for two weeks and loving it! I`m very new to Linux, having tried Ubuntu Lucid Lynx and Mint 9 Isadora. Since I got Peppermint I have removed Windows Vista entirely and use Peppermint entirely. The other two distros are just for backups, lol. This is one superfast, (boots in approx. 10 seconds), lean, mean OS. It does everything I want, and nothing I don`t. Easier to use than Windows! I`m never going back, plus the forum is super-helpful. GET THIS OS!

Tried it on a asus EeePC 900A netbook with 4gb ssd. Boots in just 24 seconds. Works well, didn't try all the eeepc features yet. There are no local office apps, no games, good selection of utilities. Runs fast from a USB too. Wireless and ethernet worked straight away. Ubuntu packages available.
